Your neck is the most vulnerable part of your spine: it supports your head, permits head rotation and allows the free flow of nerve impulses to the head, face, hands and rest of the body. Neck pain is a sign that something is wrong.
Activities such as watching TV and using a phone or computer are the most common causes of neck pain. Often the pain will resolve on its own, especially if you discontinue the activity. However, when it doesn’t, this can indicate that a more serious underlying problem exists.
Symptoms:
Neck pain can be felt as a tight knot, stiffness or pain in the muscles at the base of your neck. It can result in headaches, a “locked” neck, or even pain and weakness in your arms.
Solution:
If your neck pain is the result of abnormal position or motion of the spinal bones of the neck, then chiropractic adjustments can be effective. A member of our chiropractic team will carry out gentle and specific manipulations of the joints of the area to correct imbalances, which works to relieve pain and increase mobility.
